Excerpt: "During a Jan. 10 Grosse Pointe Shores Planning Commission meeting, Ford House officials outlined their plans for a new visitor center — to replace the existing activities building — as well as an administration building for Ford House staff. This project will mark the biggest new construction project since the home itself was built in 1928, and the first major structural alteration since the addition of the activities building roughly 25 years ago. The Ford House is located at 1100 Lake Shore Road and sits on Lake St. Clair."
